People first. Teaching is more than a list of credentials. It is the ability to listen, communicate clearly, respect the practice, and welcome the person in front of you.
Keep a look out as our teachers share their background and yoga journeys in the coming weeks.
Kimberly Bernstein Kimberly Bernstein Kimberly Bernstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience specializing in eating disorders, body image, neurodivergence, and trauma. On the mat she brings rigorous biomechanics training to guide students toward alignment and structural awareness they can apply to any pose. Outside the studio, she's usually walking, hiking, or otherwise finding a reason to move and get outside.
Abby Chow Abby Chow Abby has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and earned her 200-hour teacher training certification through the Red Lila School of Yoga under the guidance of Lindsay Kiracofe, Kate Manchester, and Marissa Walch. She welcomes practitioners of all levels to experience breath-driven, full-body flows designed to foster strength, mobility, balance, and mindfulness both on and off the mat. Cassandra Dutt Cassandra Dutt Cassandra is an avid practitioner and teacher of yoga. After nearly a decade of practice, she earned her 500-hour teaching certification in 2018 through YogaWorks under the guidance of Camille Moses Allen. She later completed an additional 300-hour training with author and master teacher Cyndi Lee, deepening her appreciation for the connection between Buddhist philosophy, vinyasa yoga, meditation, and the teacher-student lineage that carries these practices forward. Cassandra teaches a precise and playful, medium-paced vinyasa through the lens of Buddhist philosophy. Her classes emphasize mindful attention, thoughtful alignment, and creating space to fully experience each posture. Creative sequencing and pranayama prepare the body and mind for shamatha (mindfulness) meditation, inviting students to practice with curiosity, presence, and connection.
Chris Jamison Chris Jamison My teaching is inspired by curiosity in the details of skilled movement. I studied movement as a dancer decades ago and for the last 25+ years as a hatha yoga practitioner and 20 years as a yoga teacher. I have also studied clinical aspects of movement, for the past 40+ years, as a Physical Therapist. I teach in a workshop format, utilizing skills and drills mixed into a classic hatha yoga practice to bring the class to a peak pose in a mindful way. The intention is to use the yoga practice to develop strength and flexibility and afford students greater access to a challenging pose. Val Kuehne Val Kuehne I am a neurodivergent yogi, healer, teacher, musician, performer, and former classical cellist and performance artist with a career that took me around the world—from Carnegie Hall to the grittiest of dive bars. I received my 200-hour certification from Yoga Union in Baltimore, where I'm also in the process of completing an additional 300 hours of training for an advanced certification. I am certified in Sound Healing through the Alchemy of Sound and in Restorative Yoga through Tara Lemerise. I have additional training in Tantra and Kundalini Yoga from Martha McAlpine and am an avid practitioner of Katonah Yoga, joining online and in-person trainings with Abbie Galvin whenever possible. I also have a classical mat Pilates certification from Power Pilates in New York City. Mia Mackey Mia Mackey Yoga completely changed my life in 2016. Through the practice, I discovered what it truly meant to come home to myself—to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with something greater within. After years as a devoted student, I felt called to deepen my understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice. I completed my 300-hour yoga teacher training with my teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I immersed myself in the sacredness of practice, devotion, and the deeper spiritual roots of yoga. Two years later, I returned to complete my 200-hour teacher training, an experience that further shaped my understanding of the power of community, consistency, and shared practice. My teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is an invitation to remember who we are beneath the noise of everyday life. It is my hope that each class offers a space to soften, reconnect, and remember that we are each an expression of the divine. Through breath, stillness, movement, and mindfulness, I invite students to simply come as they are—and, little by little, come home to themselves. Anjul Vij Anjul Vij My yoga journey began in 2016, when I was first introduced to yoga by my father. While the initial experience with yoga felt slow and unengaging, everything changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This period became a turning point, helping me recognize yoga as a powerful discipline that nurtures the connection between mind, body and soul. Motivated by this deeper understanding, I pursued my formal teacher training at the prestigious Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. I further refined my practice and teaching under the guidance of my guru Dr. Ramesh Adhikari, a PhD scholar in Yoga Science & Wellness. Post which I went to Rishikesh, India to further practice and understand yoga and meditation in detail. I specialize in Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Ayurveda & Naturopathy and have recently completed a certification in Acupressure, Reflexology and Magnetotherapy with experience of teaching individuals across all age groups. My aim is to help students experience yoga not just as a physical exercise, but as a holistic lifestyle that promotes long-term well-being.

I began my yoga studies in 2007 and started teaching in 2008. I became an Anusara Inspired teacher in 2012 and completed advanced yoga training with Noah Mazé in 2014, with deeper philosophy and meditation studies through Bill Mahony, Douglas Brooks, and Paul Muller Ortega.
